Her son was a West Ham fan. When we were relegated in 1978 she rang John Lyall and said that she had found that she had become set in her career and had decided to step into provincial rep to get her passion back. Even though us dropping down wasn't by choice that he should try and use the change to Div 2 in the same way.

Definitely listed as a Hammers fan in several celebrity lists. Apparently she played George Dixon's daughter in Dixon of Dock Green. Also played the mad nanny in The Omen.
